Why you?
We met building data and AI platforms for HMRC. We made AI available to staff safely and cut the time to start from months to hours.
Nothing we built was as useful as an agent let loose on a problem. But most people had no safe way to use one.
So we built that safe way, on open-source foundations including Cloudflare OS, so you’re never tied to one supplier.
Who are you?
Data and AI architecture
I led web archiving and solution architecture at the British Library. Now I teach agent-oriented architecture on O’Reilly Live.
Platform engineering
I was platform technical lead at a large government department, and worked on infrastructure for HACE’s team using large language models.
Software engineering
I provided technical leadership on software for a tier-one bank with JUXT, and hold a first-class degree in mathematics.
Product engineering
I build web and mobile products, including the Sanger Institute’s COVID sample tracker. I co-founded Outlandish, and studied artificial intelligence.
Product and delivery
I led the delivery of HMRC’s secure AI platform, designed the data mitigation to prevent the next Windrush scandal, and created a project that has secured tens of billions of pounds for British schools.
